bluespace interiors transformed its longtime Burbank showroom into a flexible, design-forward environment that supports collaboration, touring, and modern workstyles.
Built in the 1970s and located near Hollywood Airport, bluespace interiors’ former showroom served the company well for many years. As the organization grew and workplace trends evolved, the space no longer reflected how the team worked—or the full capabilities offered to clients.
The vision for the renovation was to create an operational showroom that functioned as a live workplace while showcasing furniture solutions through real, functional applications. The existing layout limited collaboration, touring opportunities, and flexibility for full-time and hybrid employees. Break areas were undersized and lacked the comfort needed for employees to truly recharge.
bluespace interiors partnered with architecture firm RA-DA to reimagine the space from the ground up. The goal was to align the showroom with company culture while curating sustainable, flexible, and ergonomic solutions that demonstrate modern workplace possibilities.
Advancements in architectural glass wall systems allowed enclosed workspaces to be added without altering the building’s structure—bringing daylight deeper into the space and shifting private offices away from the perimeter. Furniture vignettes were thoughtfully integrated to showcase real-world applications while inspiring visiting guests.
The redesigned showroom now supports a wide range of work modes, including open collaboration, focused workstations, quiet zones, and hospitality-inspired gathering areas.
bluespace interiors led the project in close collaboration with RA-DA and manufacturing partners, managing planning, specification, and execution. Every decision was guided by how the space would function day to day—for employees, clients, and visiting design professionals.
The completed showroom brings bluespace’s culture to life through thoughtful design and flexibility. It supports multiple workstyles, encourages collaboration, and serves as a welcoming destination for tours, meetings, and inspiration. Today, the space reflects who bluespace interiors is—and how the company works, hosts, and grows.
