We’re proud to share that the UCI Health – Irvine campus, a project where bluespace interiors served as the key furniture partner, has been selected as a finalist in the 2026 Healthcare Design Showcase, one of the most prestigious annual recognition programs in healthcare architecture and design.
This is a meaningful moment for our team. Being part of a space that earns this level of industry recognition reflects the kind of intentional, human-centered work we’re committed to every day: thoughtful environments that prioritize the care experience for both patients and staff.
Now in its 26th year, the Healthcare Design Showcase is an annual awards program celebrating the best in healthcare design and architecture. An elite jury of architects, interior designers, providers, and consultants evaluates projects across the categories of Innovation, Aesthetics, Experience, and Operational Performance.
This year’s program recognized a top Award of Merit, three honorable mentions, and eight finalists, with the UCI Health – Irvine campus among those eight.
All recognized projects will be featured in the August 2026 issue of Healthcare Design magazine, with awards presented at the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans from October 17–20.
This recognition follows our earlier nomination at the 38th Annual IIDA SoCal Calibre Design Awards, a reflection of the consistent standard the entire project team brought to this campus from start to finish. Together, these two nominations speak to the caliber of work that went into every corner of this space.
Healthcare environments carry a unique responsibility. Every material selection, every spatial decision, every detail shapes how patients feel when they’re most vulnerable, and how care teams perform at their best. We’re incredibly honored to have played a role in a project the industry is taking notice of.
